Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read all terms and conditions in full prior to making a booking as once any booking is confirmed, this will be taken as acknowledgement that you have fully read and agreed to the following:

 

General Booking Info

A non-refundable deposit of £10 will be required to secure any booking with us and is to be paid within 5 days of making the booking.

 

Payments are cash or bank transfer only. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques, PayPal or any form of foreign currency.

 

We are unable to ‘pencil in dates’ or hold dates is this is not fair practice for other customers.

Please arrive at the time agreed to avoid coinciding with other arrivals or departures. Should you be running late please contact Happy Paws hotel at the earliest convenience. 

​

Food

You must to bring your pets own dry food to prevent any stomach upsets. All fresh foods, hay, treats and bedding is provided by us.

 

Health

Rabbits must be vaccinated against RVHD1, RVHD2 and Myxomatosis, proof of vaccinations will be required on arrival, failure to provide this will result in boarding being declined.

All pets will be cared for as if they are my own animal. Any pets that are staying at Happy Paws Hotel must be in good health, with no signs of illness before the agreed boarding date commences.

Any medical conditions must be disclosed and/or discussed prior to booking.


Any skin, fur, eye, ear irritation, condition etc need written confirmation from your Vet that it is not contagious.

​

We reserve the right to decline boarding of any pets that arrive with dirty/matted fur, have a history of conjunctivitis, mites/lice, cold or coughs or have had general anaesthetic or been treated for any digestive tract problems within 7 days of boarding as this could lead to further complications.

​

If you pet has a pre-existing medical condition, that requires treatment via daily medication whether that be orally or via other means, please inform me during the booking process so this can be discussed in more detail. 

​

Sickness

If you pet falls ill before the boarding date commences, you must inform me so we can collectively discuss and agree whether the boarding is safe to take place. This may require your veterinarian's advice. 

 

If your pet becomes unwell during their stay with us at Happy Paws hotel, I will take them to see your chosen vet at the first available appointment. If circumstances arise whereby your pet requires urgent medical attention, I reserve the right to take your pet to the closest veterinary practice to me.

Please note, you will be kept in regular contact if this scenario was to occur and I will always do what I can to contact you prior to any treatment.

 

In the unlikely event your pet passes away whilst in our care, I will contact you immediately to discuss your wishes. Happy Paws hotel accept no liability in the unlikely event this may happen.

 

You the owner are liable for any veterinary fees incurred. I do not provide any veterinary insurance or cover for any pet boarding with us and would advise our customers to insure their animals.

Fighting
If your pets show signs of aggression/fighting beyond a single occurrence, requiring separation, every effort will be made to provide good separate accommodation, but additional boarding fees will apply. 

 

Abandonment
If your pet is not collected within 3 days of the agreed collection date and I have had zero contact in anyway, shape or form with Happy Paws hotel, I reserve the right to surrender your pet for re-homing.

 

Holiday Extensions/Delayed Travel Scenarios

In the event there is a delay to the agreed collection date, subject to other bookings, a rolling daily boarding fee will apply until your pet is collected.

​

We appreciate that on occasion flights, trains etc get cancelled or delayed which can put a dampener on the latter end of the holiday. I will require immediate notice if this is the case and subject to bookings your pet will be provided good separate accommodation, but additional boarding fees will apply. 

 

Please note, in the event the above happens, your pet(s) will be housed in suitable alternative accommodation until collection of your pet(s) has been made.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking you must notify us as soon as possible. Any cancellations made to a booking that is 14 days away from your pets stay date, will be charged at 50% of the total cost of the booking. Any cancellations made 7 days or less away from your pets stay date, 100% of the booking fee will apply. 

​

Pet Carriers
You must bring your pet in an appropriately sized pet carrier lined with a blanket/towel or hay to mitigate unnecessary stress and/or potential for injury whilst travelling.​

​

Liability
Small pet boarding establishments do not require a licence.

 

Any injury, illness, disease, infestation, death and theft of pets are the owner’s responsibility. Happy Paws Hotel is released of all liability if any of these scenarios were to occur. 


Happy Paws Hotel is released of all liability for accidents or injury to the pet owner or persons whilst on our premises.

 

Privacy Policy
All small businesses are required to have a privacy policy. All personal information taken at the time of booking is stored in a lockable cabinet, or if collected electronically it is stored on a device with password protection.


Happy Paws Hotel will not use or make this information available to anyone unless obliged to do so by law, of which you the owner will be fully notified in advance if this is requested.

Any information collected from you, you, the pet owner, have the right to request a copy of all information we hold on record of you.
