Do you board dogs at Happy Paws Hotel?
No, Happy Paws Hotel is permitted to board small animals including rabbit's, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice, hamsters etc.
How do I make a booking with you?
The best form of contact to make a booking is Email or text message/WhatsApp via the details on the ‘contact us’ section of the website.
To make the process as easy as possible for yourself and I, it would be preferable if you have the dates of boarding you require to hand so I can check my availability.
Furthermore, we kindly ask for a small deposit of £10 to secure your booking. Please also remember rabbits need to be up to date with all their vaccinations (Myxomatosis, RVHD1 & RVHD2) and proof of this is required, and all pre-existing medical conditions need to be disclosed during this process.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes please - we kindly ask for a small deposit of £10 to secure a booking. This can be paid with cash or bank transfer.
Do I need to bring my pets own food?
We just ask for you to bring your pets own dry food to prevent any stomach upsets! All fresh foods, hay, treats and bedding is provided by us.
Does my Rabbit need to be vaccinated?
Yes, it is very important your rabbit(s) are up to date with their vaccinations.
(Myxomatosis, RVHD1 &RVHD2).
If you have any questions on this, please speak to your chosen vet practice as most practices offer a 3 in 1 vaccination.
Can I bring my pets own toys, bowls, towels, litter trays etc?
Of course. Happy Paws hotel does provide all of these, but if you feel it will help your pets settle in better and feel more at home then that is perfectly fine by me!
Do you provide regular updates of my pet(s) during their holiday?
100% yes! As a pet owner myself I know the importance of having regular updates therefore I will send you an update and photos via email or WhatsApp the morning after dropping off, then about halfway through their stay and let you know what they have been getting up to on their holiday with me! Additional updates/photos can be sent on request, just drop us a message!
How far in advanced do I need to book?
This is certainly a very frequent question I get asked and it depends on what time of year you need to book. School holidays/Bank Holidays are anticipated to be very busy and will likely get booked up quickly therefore I always recommend double checking availability before booking your holiday to avoid any disappointment.
Can I come and view your boarding facility before booking?
Yes! It is important you are happy with where your pet(s) will be spending their holiday, so you are more than welcome to come and have a look around! Please give me a call and let me know when is best for you. Please note, this would be by appointment only.
What time can I drop off/collect my pet(s)?
As you will appreciate, Happy Paws hotel is part of my home, so I do drop off and collections by appointment only between the following times:
Monday - Friday: 5pm-7pm
Saturdays, Sundays & bank holidays: 4pm-6pm
Please note, I appreciate the time perimeters shown may not suit everyone, therefore on occasion I may be able to provide an earlier collection/drop off time, but these would be very limited.
One thing I do ask is for an estimated time of arrival so I can make sure the process of handing over/handing back your pets is as stress free as possible, putting your pets wellbeing first, but also allowing me to ensure no conflict occurs during change overs, especially during peak times.
